Three new Negronis for Negroni Week at The Black Horse

From Monday 21st to Sunday 27th September 2026, The Black Horse are joining the celebrations for Negroni Week, and our bar team have put together three ways to enjoy this most beloved of Italian classics.

Whether you’re a lifelong Negroni devotee or trying one for the very first time, there is a version on the bar at The Black Horse to suit. Here is everything worth knowing before popping in.

What Is Negroni Week, Anyway?

Negroni Week is an international celebration of one of the world’s most-loved cocktails, and The Black Horse are joining in from 21st to 27th September.

Our bar team have taken that spirit of celebration and crafted three distinct Negronis for the occasion, each with its own character, so there is something for everyone at the table.

The Three Negronis at The Black Horse

Each creation offers a different way to fall for this classic. From the traditional to the bold and the bright, here is what is waiting at the bar in Thame.

  • The Classic Negroni: equal parts Campari, vermouth and gin, finished with a fresh orange wheel. Sharp, bittersweet and exactly as a Negroni should be.
  • The Bourbon Negroni: gin swapped for bourbon, bringing warm notes of vanilla, toasted oak and caramel that wrap themselves around Campari’s bitter edge for a rounder, more velvety pour.
  • The Negroni Sarti: Sarti Rosa paired with Campari for a lighter, brighter finish. Bright citrus notes make this the easiest sipping option of the three, ideal for guests who like a little spring in their apéritif.

How to Join In

No table booking is needed for drinks at the bar. Guests can pop into The Black Horse any day between 21st and 27th September and a Negroni will be ready for them.

Table bookings are open too, so whether it is a quick pre-dinner drink or a full evening out, The Black Horse have you covered.
